Be Still My Soul

Be Still My Soul

I have this song swirling through my thoughts this morning.......such a wonderful reminder in whom I am to REST in........hmmm...makes me wonder what the day will bring :-)

Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change, He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

One thing I love about the early morning is the stillness, the quietness.  The home is silent, no one is stirring.  This doesn't last long.....the blessings of feet hitting the floor and the day beginning comes soon, this too is part of our blessings.

In a world where so much is happening I am thankful that God still surrounds us with beauty that is still abundant and still to be enjoyed.

This morning as I walked,  I was able to see signs of new life springing up.  It happens so fast...

 Lilac's soon to bloom :-)

.... so many signs of life to see, new shoots, green grass, sunrises, and all... brought forth by God.  Just as our new life in Christ is His work in us....  My desire is to be still in Him, Rest in Him, Live in Him.

Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change, He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
