Follow Christ, Son.......

Birthdays can bring reflections on what an incredible gift life is.  

This post is for my son Jacob, whom we love dearly.  My thoughts for you this morning as I dwell on how blessed we are to have you as our son and how God sustained you in my womb and gave you life, then He gave you eternal life, I am full of gratitude.  My prayer for all of you has been that you will Love God and Love others,  the greatest commandment in Christ.  God is answering that prayer in you.  I see you fight to see God and to allow others to see Him through you.  I see your desire to impact your world for Christ.  I see you struggle as you feel the pressures of this fallen word, and I am grateful to be there, to hug you when you need a hug, to pray when you need prayer, to encourage when you need encouraged, and yes, to even rebuke when you need rebuked.  We are beyond privileged to be your parents.  Thank you Jacob for being a part of our family.  Thank you for being you.  

Follow Christ, Son.  For He is the light of the world..............

The world may offer glamor and attraction but it is not real.......

There is simplicity in Christ.......even amongst the busy world, we can rest in Him......seek His peace.

Yes, it can be scary......but Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you.........

For He is the bread if life.......feast on Him! 

And as you go...........go with God.  Yield to Him.  He promises to guide you.....follow, Jacob, follow!........

...There are breaking points in this old world but stops can make us rely on God more, don't fight them....God will use them for your good. 

....Remember to offer others......the living water, for it is only by this that no man will ever thirst again.

Yes, the world wants to dress us up and that is not a bad thing but son, never forget to examine your heart before God.  You know who you are in Christ, and nothing can change that......for nothing can separate us from the love of God.  His Spirit dwells in you, you have been given gifts and talents that He has a purpose for, never forget that you have been given grace......and please don't forget to extend grace and forgiveness to others, God will help you....  For we have been forgiven so much in Jesus.  

Continue to be the servant leader that Jesus himself showed you.  Follow His example, that greatness is preceded by humility.  As you serve others, as God leads, you will experience a joy like no others.  God has made you to glorify Him....You enjoy serving and doing and for that we are grateful.  

Most of all my son.........enjoy!  Life is not be lived as drudgery.......your heavenly father wants you to sing and dance and give Him praises!  Be thankful.....be filled with joy!  His joy......and live life to the fullest...dare to live on the edge with Christ!  Dare to be a Daniel!  Dare to be the You that God has made you to be.......His plans are awesome and a life with Him is filled with joy and peace, like nothing else.  You have lived with us.....so you know it is not without trials but being sold out to God is where it is at.......don't be deceived from this point.....Life with God is an incredible adventure.  He does things that blow us away...........

Yep, even in the silly moments of life.......Jesus is there.....don't take your self too seriously because all that you are is because of Him......nothing else.......only Jesus! 

Happy Birthday Jacob!  We are proud of you, and you are loved, perfectly by your heavenly Father, and unperfectly by your family!!!!!!!!! Be blessed.....Have an awesome day!
