Love, love, love this encouragement from this video! Probably because it was so me, until God began teaching me about Himself, and that I am complete in Him. He chose to love me because of who He is...not who I was or am! Isn't that awesome! Now, out of His love, flows His good works that He has planned for me...and when I choose to walk in the flesh and mess up....He is there, waiting for me, extending more grace and mercy out of His love for His children.
I am at a loss for words at what comfort this has brought to my life as I walk with my Savior, it has drawn me even closer.... to be released from the burden of perfectionism and to know that all the way He guides me is sheer joy!
Now, don't get me wrong...I still strive, however, it is out of His great love for me, I find I have to hold fast to rest in Him, to allow God to be in control. You see, I strive now against myself, when my flesh or the enemy accuses me, tells me I did not get it right...now I go to the Savior and I ask Him. He is so faithful!
I feel led to add one thing this is not....it is not about walking in those plans that God has for you or me, to me they are a given, but about knowing that you are fully accepted in Christ Jesus because of His finished work. When we turn from our sin to Him...He exchanges all that fallenness for His righteousness. We do not need to perform for acceptance! Isn't that awesome! I love that! God knew we couldn't anyway :))) that is why He gave us Jesus.
