Jacob Graduates

This has been a wonderful weekend filled with much encouragement from the Lord.
We began our journey of homeschooling our children 16 years ago. This past Saturday, with many tears and great joy, we had the pleasure of seeing the end of this chapter in Our second son's life. I was so thankful to the Lord for all that He did....I could not have asked for anything more. I wanted to share some of the highlights with you:
There were 4 young people graduating together. Each father gave an admonition to each child along with the mothers. There were many tears shed and I must say, I did not expect so much emotion but it was incredible.

The first father encouraged his daughter and reminded her that when Daniel and his friends were taken into Babylon they remained faithful. They had to walk out their faith and he reminded her that Daniel had purposed in his heart to not defile himself. He asked her to purpose in her heart also and reminded her that there would be times that she would need to take a stand for her faith.

Second, was my husband, and he encouraged Jacob from the life of Paul. He spoke about how many earthly things Paul had obtained but in the end Paul counted this but dung but what He had in Christ was His gain. He asked Jacob to always keep Christ first in His life and to continue seek after the Kingdom of God.

Third father encouraged his son to continue to face fear in the strength of the Living God, as David faced Goliath. He reminded him of the times that he had felt the fear, yet faced it and did not shy away. The moms also had wonderful things to share but we also journeyed down memory lane with tears and hugs! One mom shared with her son how we have not been perfect but real and that they have sought the Lord through it all and saw the Lord supply.

The speaker took a journey through 1st Samuel and reminded the young people that no matter what Samuel faced he was still faithful to God. He had seen many things through his life ( Hophni & Phineas, Eli, People did what was right in their own eyes )  but in the end was still found faithful and encouraged them to be found faithful in their Savior, Jesus Christ!

Siblings also spoke and affirmed their love of their brother or sister. They did such a wonderful job. It was so sweet to hear Justin praise Jacob for his hard work and tell him how much he loved him. This day is evidence of how the Lord orders our steps. It showed me personally how much it means to resolve this chapter of our life and move to the next. It makes me, as a mom, excited for what the Lord will do in the future!
Thank you so much Suzie, Mary, Michelle for all you did to make this day possible!
Congratulations Jacob! We love you!

I'll add pic's soon.
