TIME

Wow.....Jon is turning nine.  I can hardly believe how fast time goes as I look back over the pictures to try and honor our son for his birthday!  As I was thinking about this I was pondering the fact that God is above time.......to Him a million years is as if it is one day yet He chose to give us time.  He chose to give us something to remind us that we do not have an infinite amount of time here on this earth. We are finite.  We are here for a purpose......to know and glorify Him.  That's it......everything is a gift from a Holy God that wants to draw us close to Himself.  I remember a teacher once saying that our life has two stages.....

First is our before Christ life when God is drawing us to Himself and then it is our second stage where after we know Christ as our Savior, He is still drawing us to Himself.  You see , our self would want to pull away from the only thing that can truly save and change us.  Yet God is faithful! I look at the lives of my children and I see His faithfulness.  There are times I wonder how we will ever make it and I quickly am drawn back to the Lord and reminded that He is faithful to complete the work that He has begun in us, my children included!  I share these pictures of our son with you today.  Not only to honor his birthday but to honor the Lord for this is what He has done! Jon is a gift to our family but he is also an heritage to the Lord.  Ours for a short while to love on and train, but God's for all eternity!
